INTRODUCTION

Power. Power is what drives the forces of Norrath. Some would say it is love or kindness
that makes the world go around. They are fools. We, the forces of the Dark Retribution,
understand that power is the defining element of life. To that end, we seek to grow in
power and influence until such a time as we may take our rightful place as the rulers of
all we survey.

The Dark Retribution is an evil guild operating on the Innoruuk Server. While
role-playing is highly encouraged, it is not required. Please be advised that other
members may choose to role-play their characters.

Since it's inception, the Dark Retribution has not been about obtaining loot. If you seek
a guild solely for the purpose of obtaining the rarer items in the game, you've probably
come to the wrong place. While our goal is to eventually grow in number and be a force
to be reckoned with, do not expect things to simply be handed to you.

SECTION 1: MEMBERSHIP STRUCTURE
The Retribution's high council shall be comprised of the following - 1 Guildleader and a
varying number of officers. All matters brought to a vote will be decided by the votes of
the council. In the event of a tie, the guildleader will make the final determination on
how the matter is to be handled.

Officers are selected either by the guild leader's personal choice or by a majority vote
from the officer corps.

Members - Members shall be selected by the interviewing officer and will be subject to a
thirty-day probationary period during which they will be evaluated by the membership.
Should the new recruit not be available often during this probationary period it may be
increased to sixty or ninety days based on the recommendations of the high council. If
after ninety days, said member has still not been on enough to have been properly
evaluated, the member will be removed.

Any member may recommend someone for membership. In the case where the referring
member is not an officer, that member should contact an officer and let them know the
information regarding the prospective candidate so they may set up an interview.

It is not necessary for any prospective member to be sponsored by an existing member.
In this type of case, the prospective member should approach a guild officer or post on
the guilds recruitment forum.

SECTION 2: MEMBER DUTIES
Every member has a duty to one another, as such the following should be noted.

1.) Members must be prepared to attend guild functions on a regular basis - while
exceptions can be made in some cases - getting to know one another is paramount
towards the guild functioning well.
2.) Guild members should be prepared to render assistance to any guild member in
dire circumstances. It should be noted that self reliance is highly prized, so a member
should make every effort to solve their problem before requesting assistance. Walking
into certain death is not expected.
3.) There are currently no guild dues and no plans to initiate them at any time in
the future. Any change to this policy would come from a 2/3 majority vote from the
entire membership.
4.) Use of the "/anon" tag is strictly prohibited. You are a member of this guild and
expected to represent it at all times. If you seek to avoid people pestering you for
heals, ports, clarity, etc use the "/roleplay" tag which is fully acceptable.
5.) Members may ask for assistance in completing quests, but should 1.) give
ample warning as to when the assistance is needed and 2.) Realize that it is not
required of members to assist - it is at each members personal discretion.
6.) It is asked that members make an attempt to become a part of the guild. In
other words, get to know the folks you've chosen to join.
7.) Members are encouraged to read the guild message boards so that they are
aware of goings on and can give their input to guild matters.
8.) In the event you chose to leave the guild, we simply ask you make a short post
on the members board this way we can keep track of the number of members. Consider
it a common courtesy. In addition, any member who leaves without placing a notice on
the message boards within 48 hours will not be considered for membership if they wish
to rejoin in the future.
9.) It is highly suggested that all members learn to play their class properly. As a
result the act of powerlevelling, while not restricted, should not be expected as a perk
of membership.

SECTION 3: VIOLATIONS
All members should fully understand that they are visible representatives of the guild.
In such, actions that would bring damage to the guild are strictly prohibited. Committing
any of the below may be reason for immediate expulsion from the guild. Such acts are
as follows.

1.) Kill Stealing - the process of either attacking another individual/groups mob
with the intent to kill it for your own gain or pulling mobs from another players/groups
established camp.
2.) Intentional training - the act of intentionally bringing a mob to another pc with
the intent of causing an incident
3.) Begging - The act of asking other players for items/equipment/assistance for no
good reason
4.) Harrassment - The act of bothering, insulting, threatening or going out of your
way to intimidate another player character in such a way as it can be taken as
excessive.
5.) Exploitation - Exploiting a known bug for personal gain
6.) Ninja Looting - The act of looting an item that does not rightly belong to you.
7.) False binding/translocating - The act of binding a person in a place they do not
wish to be bound or translocating someone without their consent. Also covers
teleporting someone to a place other than their intended destination and leaving them
there.
8.) Any other act deemed to have created a negative impression of the guild.

.
SECTION 4: GUILD RAIDS
Though the guild is not yet planar, there are many places that can be raided. There are
several types of raids which will be described below.

All/all raid: In this type of raid, all members present (and guests if specified) random
for an item. This would most often be seen when the guild chooses to get together to
simply make some cash or have a good time.

Class Random: In this type of raid, only members of the guild present (and guests if
specified) who can use a particular item will be allowed to random on it. This would be
used on large scale raid such as a planar run, venril sathir, etc

Item Specific raid: In this case, a member needs a specific item and the guild has
banded together to assist in obtaining it. In this case, that item will be given to said
member. All other items will fall under one of the other loot rules as stated here. Those
loot rules will be established PRIOR to the event taking place.

SECTION 5: ALLIED GUILDS
The Dark Retribution's allies are to be accorded the same respect that a member would
be given. The current list of allied guilds are as follows:
1.) Undead Legion

SECTION 6: GUILD WAR
In the event of a guild war, all members are expected to support the guild and it's war
effort. This may include traveling in teams to prevent members from being picked off
individually. It should be noted that if you have a character belonging to the guild at
which we are at war, you are to notify an officer immediately. You will most likely be
asked to unguild for the duration of the conflict to prevent any internal strife over
perceived spying.

SECTION 7: PLAYING
Ultimately, we are playing this game to enjoy it - not make a second job of it. To that
end, the following should be noted:

1.) Any suggestions you as a member may have for improving things should be
brought up to an officer or placed on the guild message boards regardless of the amount
of time you have been among us or your level. Each member is an equal among his
peers.
2.) There is no level requirement to join or to maintain membership. If you are one
of those people who simply enjoys wandering Norrath and learning it's secrets, you are
just as welcome as the person who spends their days leveling in dungeons.

SECTION 8: DISCLAIMER

will be listed on the members forum as well as on this document.
